Goal: by the end of this page you will have signed up, created a game in Qyren, generated an API key, and sent your first event.

1. Sign up

Go to app.qyren.ai and create an account. Use your studio email. You’ll land on an empty dashboard.

2. Create a game

Click New Game. Give it a short ID (like origins_of_lume) and a display name. The ID is permanent and shows up in every API call — keep it lowercase, no spaces.

3. Generate an API key

In the game’s settings, click API Keys → New Key. Name it (e.g. prod-server) and copy the key — it starts with qyr_live_. You will not see it again. Store it in your server’s secret manager, not in client code.

4. Send your first event

Every interaction with Qyren is authenticated with Authorization: Bearer qyr_live_<your-key>. Here’s a minimal session-start event. Replace the key, game_id, and player_id.
You should get back 202 Accepted. Check your dashboard — the event will appear in the live event stream within a few seconds.

5. What to do next

  • Read SDK & Integration to learn the three endpoints you’ll call from your game.
  • Read Events for the full list of event types and required fields.
  • Import your offers (see Offers) so Qyren has something to recommend.

Common gotchas

  • 401 Unauthorized: the key is wrong, or you’re using a qyr_test_ key against the live endpoint.
  • 400 Bad Request on event_id: event_id must be a ULID — 26 characters, Crockford Base32. Use a ULID library in your language; do not invent your own format.
  • event_time rejected: timestamps more than 7 days in the past or future are rejected. Always use UTC.
  • player_id rejected: must be 1–64 characters, letters/numbers/underscore/hyphen only. No emails, no real names.
